RUNNING MODALITY ON FOOT

- Lanzarote Heroes RUNNING MODALITY ON FOOT is a mixed ground running event (asphalt/dirt) with distances 20 km, 10 km and 5 km organized by K3 Servicios Deportivos Integrales SL with the collaboration of the City of Arrecife, the Cabildo of Lanzarote, the Government of the Canary Islands and different private entities.
- The distances of 20km will only have the general category. Distances of 10km and 5km, will be played in the general category and in the career modality of the companies.

BRIEFING FOOT RACE LANZAROTE HEROES 2022
- We will start the 20k test from the CANARY ISLANDS PARK to the 8:00 AM, having to be at 07:30 AM for mandatory material verification (mobile phone and 0.5L water tank).
- At 07:30 The cloakroom service will be opened for participants in the Canary Islands Park.
- Then at 08:30h from the roundabout of the Gran Hotel, Departure of the bus service for runners of the modalities of 5 and 10 Kilometers, with destination to the departures both in Marina Colón and to the pavilion of Argana Alta respectively. They will have to present the bib at the entrance of the bus to be able to access it and have confirmed the use of the service at the time of collecting their bib number.
- The test will take place on a mixed circuit of asphalt and dirt, in urban sections, so there will be punctual traffic cuts, where the safety of both runners and road users will be ensured.
- The race on asphalt sections will be held, Primarily, On the sidewalk, The participant must be extremely safe in case it is necessary to drive on the road.
- The crossings will be properly signposted and with security personnel that will facilitate the course of the race, who will be responsible for road traffic management.
- In the event that the participant ignores the instructions of the security personnel who are in the punctual cuts, will be automatically disqualified from the test.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE ROUTE
- The 20k test will begin by heading towards the Castillo de San Gabriel, where at the height of the Bridge of the Balls, we enter Calle Real, to go out through the Charco de San Ginés, that we will border and in the direction of Puerto Naos, Always under the indications of our flags and beacons, and extreme caution, we head towards the Castle of San José, where we will have another traffic cut to cross to the Salinas de Arrecife, Always following the beacons, and remembering that you can not leave the stretch marked by respect for our places.
- After a tour of that part of our capital, we will go up to the neighborhood of Altavista, that will take us to the exit of Arrecife towards Tahiche, in which, passing through the bike path on the right of the road, (Here we will have another punctual traffic cut) , our volunteers will point out a detour to pass through the tunnel under the Arrecife-Tahiche highway, that will take us to a road towards Arrecife Cemetery, and a few meters ahead, at km 9, We will meet the liquid refreshment.
- Remember that in this test there will be no glasses, out of respect for the environment and that the use of water tank or glass is already specified in the mandatory material.
- We leave the refreshment station and already in Argana Alta, we have a road crossing point again to pass to Argana Baja, DEPARTURE POINT 10 KILOMETERS (The participants of this modality will have to be half an hour before the departure 9:00h and departure at 09:30h) where after traveling paths following our beacons, we arrive at the road that goes down from Güime to Arrecife, having to take the road that is parallel to the asphalt, Extreme caution at this point. We arrived at the Barrio de San Francisco Javier, that after surrounding it by roads, we will arrive at the roundabout of the Cabildo, turning off to the road in the area known as La Bufona, that following once again our beacons, will take us to the next Refreshment point km 14,5, that matches the MODE OUTPUT of 5 KILOMETERS (The participants of this modality will have to be half an hour before the departure at 09:30h and departure at 10:00h), the INSULAR CENTRE FOR WATER SPORTS.
- From there, we head to the next checkpoint in La Concha (This section will be marked and differentiated round-trip lanes) where we will turn and take the opposite direction back to the provisioning, the latter again in the INSULAR CENTER OF NAUTICAL SPORTS km 17, to go along the avenue towards the long-awaited goal.
